The Panache Bespoke Taylor Shirt make of 100% cotton poplin in a two-fold weave. It is a standard weave, the 2 x 100’s, with built-tolast but smooth finish and with medium fabric weight, all this made here in England.

This weave tends to accentuate surface colours, making it the perfect poplin for the sharp checks, stripes, and end-on-ends that we specialise in.

Interlining is that material which, in a shirt construction, the reason for placing between two pieces of shirt fabric, such as at the cuffs, buttoning, and collar. This material gives extra strength to these areas. Interlining in shirt construction can be a fuse or sewn. You can’t go wrong with either choice, but you should know the difference.  we offer both cast and sewn interlining.

Iron-on interfacing is also very popular for ready-to-wear shirts since city shirt interfacing is thermally bonded and thus suitable for mass production. Also, iron-on interfacing is stronger and more formal.

Sew interfacing for shirt production has a soft feel and is characterized by being stitched instead of glued. This is the old way and is basically used in custom shirts. Its liners will give that timeless look and are known to last longer compared to sewn liners. 

Single Needle Stitch

All  shirts are sewn with a single needle stitch. It is an old and expensive sewn process but achieves gorgeous and long-lasting stitching (18-22 stitches per inch). The collars, cuffs as well as buttoning, are all sewn with a single needle to ensure the shirt’s longevity.
